Is Bandh appropriate in times of 'Economic Meltdown

My first reaction was"Oh God!another bandh.And I thought,what do they get out of paralysing normal life and by bringing economic activity to a stand still.And I told myself,another day of violence,disruption and mayhem.89 flights were cancelled.God knows,how many trains were cancelled.And in Mumbai option alone,there was a whopping loss of 300 crore because of the paralysed economic activity due to BJP sponsored Bandh".
This is 'Incredible India'. Somebody told me, in "Mumbai option itself,there was a whopping financial loss of 300 crores. Keep it up BJP and enjoy your companionship with communist parties..
Do we need a violent method of Bandh in today's times of global economic meltdown. Let this be the" food for thought for the power hungry strange bed- partners". According to me,the bandh called on 5th of july 2010 was just digusting.
